Brent rose to about $89.63 a barrel and WTI to about $83.91 in early Asian trade after separate attacks on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb. Shipping data cited by Reuters showed six vessels transited Hormuz on Monday versus a ten-day average of roughly eleven, far below pre-war traffic.
