India's July inflation rises to 4.45% as food prices keep the RBI's patience under review

The official evening print stayed inside the RBI tolerance band but exceeded the 4% target for a second month, with food inflation accelerating to 5.52%.

India's consumer-price index increased 4.45% year on year in July, close to the reported 4.5% consensus and within the RBI's 2%-6% tolerance band. The release arrived after the closing bell and is new to the evening edition.
