Indian equities ended Tuesday lower after financial and private-bank shares weakened against a backdrop of expensive crude oil. The official NSE closing edition put the Nifty 50 at 24,471.70, down 0.46% from the previous close. The BSE benchmark also finished about half a percent lower.
