Bata India reported first-quarter profit of ₹639.8 million, up 23% from ₹520 million a year earlier, while revenue increased about 4% to ₹9.79 billion. Reuters said demand for premium shoes and sneakers, including the company's Sneaker Studio format, led the improvement.
